Tiimipisteet myönnetään sen perusteella, miten hyvin ratkaisu vastaa Team for the Planetin tavoittelemaa innovaatiotyyppiä. Ne perustuvat useiden tekijöiden analyysiin:

  • vaikutusmahdollisuudet: keskimääräinen vaikutuspistemäärä > 4 => 0,5 pistettä / jos > 4,15 => 1 piste.
  • yleinen johdonmukaisuus: kaikkien 6 valintaperusteen keskiarvo > 2,5 => 1 piste.
  • coup de Coeur: niiden vastaajien osuus, jotka pitävät innovaatiota parhaana keinona toteuttaa laajamittaisia toimia kasvihuonekaasujen torjumiseksi > 20 % => 1 piste
  • kohdennus: ryhmän toiminta-alan validointi yli 90 % => 0,5 pistettä + riittävä inno-kypsyys => 0,5 pistettä
  • sosiaalinen hyväksyntä: semanttisen analyysin pistemäärä kommenttien osalta > 0 => 0,5 pistettä/ jos > 3500 => 1 piste

The textile industry consumes 60 % of the production of polyester annually and the mix of polyester and cotton make garments and clothes almost impossible to recycle. Every second a truck full of clothing is sent to a landfill or incinerated. Samsara's technology allows for full recycling of textiles.

Miten se ratkaistaan?

Samsara is the first company that has developed a depolymerization process that allows cotton-polyester blends to be broken down into pure cotton, terephtalic acid and MEG allowing for 99.9 % reuse of components in the textiles and preventing them from ending up in landfills or incinerated.
